Curling Canada – Canada’s top men’s curling teams will be heading to Brandon, Man., in March.
The 2019 Tim Hortons Brier, presented by AGI, is scheduled for March 2-10 at Westoba Place.
For media requiring credentials, please apply on-line at www.curling.ca/championships/media-accreditation-request-form/, by no later than Feb. 24, 2018. Shortly before the event, you will be sent a confirmation letter outlining the on-site accreditation pickup procedures.
Those requesting credentials must also email a high-resolution mugshot of themselves to media@curling.ca to make the on-site accreditation process easier.
Please note: On-ice photographers will be required to wear black clothing and shoes and restrict themselves to designated shooting areas during the games. There will be no exceptions to this guideline. CLICK HERE to review photography guidelines.
A limited number of rooms at the Canad Inns Destination Centre Brandon is being held at a rate of $145 plus taxes per night for media looking for accommodation during the 2019 Tim Hortons Brier. Those needing accommodation need to book their rooms as soon as possible as space is extremely limited. Email event manager Rob Dewhirst (rdewhirst@curling.ca) with the subject line “Request for Media Booking for Brier 2019 Media” to arrange for accommodation.
The 16-team field for the 2019 Tim Hortons Brier will be completed with the Wild Card play-in game, scheduled for March 1 at Westoba Place.
The winner in Brandon will go on to represent Canada at the 2019 Pioneer Hi-Bred World Men’s Curling Championship, presented by Service Experts Heating, Air Conditioning and Plumbing, March 30-April 7 in Lethbridge, Alta. As well, the winning team will be Team Canada at the 2020 Tim Hortons Brier in Kingston, Ont.
