Mia Vallée is no stranger to Grand Prix podiums in synchro events. Last year, she took silver in the 3m mixed synchro event in Gold Coast, Australia and won gold in women’s 3m synchro at the Madrid Grand Prix in 2016. She also finished 4th in the women’s 3m synchro at the 2018 World Junior Championships in Kiev, Ukraine.
Celina Toth took home silver in 10m at the 2019 Winter Nationals held in Victoria behind Meaghan Benfeito; after being crowned champion in the event at the 2018 Summer Nationals.
Peter Maiwon his first career individual medal in a Grand Prix event last July in Madrid, taking silver in men’s 3m.
Victor Povznerwon bronze in the 1m event at the Dresden International held in Germany in April 2018. He was also crowned Junior World Champion in the men’s 3m synchro with partner Henry McKay at the 2018 World Junior Championships.
Ethan Pitmanteamed up with Laurent Gosselin-Paradis in 10m synchro at many international events in 2018. They combined for bronze at Calgary’s Canada Cup. At last year’s Rostock Grand Prix, the pair claimed 8thspot in men’s 10m synchro.
Rylan Wienswas crowned Canadian champ in 10m synchro at the 2018 Winter Nationals and also took bronze in men’s 10m at the same competition.
César Henderson(Montréal, QC), Tommy McLeod(Victoria, BC) and Alex Povzner(Maple, ON) have been named to the Canadian coaching staff for Rostock.
