Ottawa, ON (Aug. 26, 2025) — Ten up-and-coming athletes will be representing Canada at the second stop of the ISU Junior Grand Prix (JGP) series, taking place from Aug. 27-30, in Ankara, Turkey.
Fresh off a gold medal performance at the first JGP in Latvia, pair team Ava Kemp and Yohnatan Elizarov will look to prove their strength once more in Turkey and earn a spot in the Grand Prix Final.
After competing in the 2024 Grand Prix Final, Julia Quattrochi will return to the JGP series this season with new partner, Étienne Lacasse. The pair team has showed early promise, capturing bronze at the 2025 NextGen Competition. Canada will also be represented by Brianna Dion and Jacob Côté in the pair event, who will be making their debut in international competition.
Also making their international debut in Ankara will be ice dancers Charlie Anderson and Cayden Dawson, who recently claimed bronze at the 2025 NextGen Competition. They will be joined in the ice dance event by Auréa Cinçon-Debout and Earl Jesse Celestino, who will look to build on their season’s best sixth-place finish in the 2024 Junior Grand Prix circuit.
