Nomination of New Sport Dispute Resolution Centre of Canada CEO

Wednesday, August 20, 2025 – Brossard (Québec) – The Sport Dispute Resolution Centre of Canada (the Centre) is pleased to announce that Francis Ménard has been selected as the organization’s next Chief Executive Officer.

With graduate education in Sports Management and the Chartered Director (C.Dir.) corporate governance designation, Francis brings a wide array of knowledge and experience to the Centre. Since 2021, Francis has been the Executive Director of the Quebec Swimming Federation, where he oversaw a comprehensive team restructuring and implemented a robust safe sport culture. Prior to that, he was the Executive Director of Parasport Quebec where he developed new financial partnerships and introduced a new vision to the organization.

Francis’ past leadership experience will be a significant benefit to the Centre in this new phase of its operations. His proven ability to steer change, all while adhering to the Centre’s shared values of collaboration, integrity, fairness, excellence and human rights, will be invaluable to the Centre.  “We are thrilled to welcome Francis to the Centre,” advised Dorianne Mullin, the Centre’s Interim Board Chair. “Francis’ skills and values align with the strategic vision of the Centre and his leadership will be a valuable asset in this time of change for the Centre.”

“I feel privileged to join the Centre at this pivotal moment,” said Francis Ménard. “My priority is to build on the Centre’s strong foundations, partnering with the sport community to enhance current services and co-create new ones to be responsive to evolving needs. With an experienced team beside me, I look forward to advancing our mission of independent dispute resolution in the best interests of the entire sport system.”

Francis will begin on September 2, 2025, and will be working closely with outgoing Chief Executive Officer Marie-Claude Asselin to ensure a smooth handover of operations.
