Women’s U23 Pan American Cup 

Canada kicked off this tournament with an overtime five-set loss to Cuba, 2-3 (25-18, 25-23, 24-26, 18-25, 15-17) yesterday.

This event continues today in Guanajuato, Mexico, as Canada faces the home team at 8 pm local time (CST). Streaming can be found on Facebook.

Canada 4th at U21 Women’s Pan Am Cup

Canada finished fourth at the U21 Pan American Cup (women) after Costa Rica delighted their home crowd in a 3-1 (11-25, 25-18, 25-23, 30-28) bronze medal match win on Sunday.

In the individual awards, Canada’s Ella McVittie was named Best Setter, Logan King was awarded Best Opposite, and Misha Hameed Best Receiver.

Final team standings: 1. United States 2. Chile 3. Costa Rica 4. Canada 5. Dominican Republic 6. Puerto Rico 7. Mexico.

Boys’ U19 Worlds Continue

Canada fell to undefeated Bulgaria today at the 2025 FIVB Volleyball Boys’ U19 World Championship in Uzbekistan. Set scores were 25-17, 25-23, 25-21. Canada, currently winless, has its final pool B match on July 29 vs. China.

NORCECA U21 in Calgary

Eight teams will compete at the 7 Chiefs Sportsplex near Calgary next week. Teams include USA, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Chile, Dominican Republic, Canada and Barbados. Don’t miss out!
