Canadians win NORCECA bronze

July 28, 2025 – Canada won another NORCECA Beach Tour bronze this past weekend. Ontario sisters Kaylee and Emma Glagau won their match for third place over the home team of Janneke Tammenga/Chagnaz Frankel in straight sets, 2-0 (21-9, 21-14) in Suriname on Sunday.

Mexico’s Susana Torres and Atenas Gutiérrez captured that country’s first gold medal of the season after defeating USA’s Piper Ferch/Erin Inskeep in a thrilling final, 2-1 (8-21, 21-16, 18-16), at the fifth stop of the 2025 NORCECA Beach Volleyball Tour in Paramaribo.

In the semifinals, Gutiérrez and Torres defeated Kaylee and Emma 2-0 (21-16, 21-19). The American duo of Ferch/Inskeep had no trouble overcoming Suriname’s Tammenga/Frankel 2-0 (21-10, 21-13).

The American pair of Taylor and Trevor Crabb won men’s gold. Canada’s Cameron Chadwick/Robert Kemp were fourth after losing the bronze match to Derek Bradford/Zephyr Dew, also of USA.
