A successful Callaway day at the Parcours du Vieux-Village

Bromont, July 16, 2025 – The Callaway Team and Pro-Am Championship was held today at the Parcours du Vieux-Village, Bromont, in a warm and electrifying atmosphere. Bringing together a number of PGA of Québec professionals and many passionate amateur golfers, the event offered an exceptional day of performance, sportsmanship and camaraderie.

Ethier and Boudreau win the Team Championship

In the Team Championship, reserved exclusively for professional duos, it was the team of Angie Ethier and Ben Boudreau who, under the two-ball-best formula, finished top of the leaderboard with a score of 12 under par. Their complicity and synchronism throughout the 18 holes enabled them to rack up birdies and keep constant pressure on the rest of the field!

We really had a great dynamic on the course today,” said Ben Boudreau. We started strong right from the start, which gave us a lot of confidence. When one of us had a more difficult hole, the other took over. We managed our round very well.

Angie Ethier added: “It was a great day. We played some good golf, but above all we had a lot of fun supporting each other in every situation. The course was in exceptional condition – a big bravo to the entire Vieux-Village team!”

The duo has established themselves as one of the tandems to watch on the summer circuit, demonstrating that with good communication and an effective strategy, it’s possible to deliver a smooth, competitive performance.

A remarkable collective performance in the Pro-am

In the Pro-am formula, which brought together teams of two professionals and two amateurs under the best two balls formula, victory went to the team formed by Jean-Marc Tourangeau, Réal Salvas, and amateurs Guy Sawyer and Dominic Boucher. Together, they posted a remarkable score of -21, thanks to excellent team cohesion and an ability to maximize low-scoring opportunities on every hole.

We all contributed to this result,” explained Jean-Marc Tourangeau. There was no pressure; everyone played their game and we capitalized when it counted. This kind of formula is really nice because it rewards team spirit.”

Réal Salvas added: “We managed a few long putts, and every member of the team had their moments. The guys were on fire!”

The foursome managed to combine seriousness, lightness and strategy to stay ahead of a very competitive field, made up of numerous teams formed of seasoned pros and seasoned amateurs.

Another ace for Adam Knight

The day was also marked by a spectacular feat from Adam Knight, who hit a hole-in-one on the 11th hole, a 229-yard par 3. This perfect shot, made with calm precision, was greeted by cheers from his group and once again underlines his exceptional talent. This is Adam’s 10th career hole-in-one – a remarkable milestone that deserves to be celebrated with admiration!

A rallying event for the golfing community

In collaboration with Callaway, a loyal partner of the PGA of Québec, the event benefited from impeccable organization and an unparalleled welcome from the Parcours du Vieux-Village, a club renowned for the quality of its course, its enchanting setting in the heart of the Eastern Townships, and the hospitality of its staff.

Participants enjoyed an optimal playing environment: rolling greens, impeccable fairways, and very warm temperatures for good golf! From the early morning welcome to the prize-giving at the end of the day, everything was in place to make this event a memorable experience.

Acknowledgements and next steps

The PGA of Québec would like to warmly thank Callaway Golf, as well as all participants, officials, volunteers, sponsors and host club staff for their commitment to the success of this day. This type of event is a testament to the strength of the Québec golfing community and the desire to bring professionals and amateurs together around their shared passion.

All eyes now turn to the next stage of the 2025 calendar, the individual classic on August 4 at Alpin Golf Club.
