Summary
Reporting to the High-Performance Director, the Para Nordic High Performance Manager is responsible for the oversight, management, operations and athlete services of Nordiq Canada’s Para nordic programs.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Management, oversight and support for both Para nordic teams including logistics for camps and competition trips, project tracking and staffing;
- On-the-ground support at select major competitions, and 2026 Paralympic Winter Games Team Leader
- Athlete pathway and talent identification program management
- Provides support to team selection criteria, Sport Canada annual and quadrennial plans, Own the Podium reviews, Canadian Paralympic Committee partnerships
- Manages Para nordic and Para biathlon budget tracking including grant applications and reporting
- Develops system approaches, including data management, policy development, staff communication and workflows
- Supports key initiatives and strategies to maximize performance at the Paralympic Games
- Acts as communication liaison with the Engagement Team and, where appropriate, supports initiatives to ensure the overall success of the organization
- Manages athlete services, including Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport programs, the Athlete Assistance Program, athlete agreements, clothing, and trip on-boarding
Requirements
- Relevant diploma, degree, or equivalent years of high-performance experience
- Experience and/or extensive knowledge of the Canadian sport systems such as OTP, COC, CPC, etc.
- Experience in Para sport, cross-country skiing and/or biathlon is an asset
- Proven attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills under tight deadlines with competing priorities
- Superior communication skills, including the ability to motivate and resolve conflict
- Proficiency in English and French languages is an asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft office suite such as Excel, Teams, Word and PowerPoint

Working Conditions
- May be required to work evenings and weekends
- Will be required to work outdoors, including on snow
- Domestic and international travel required
- Candidate location must be within the Calgary-Canmore area
- Must be able to legally work in Canada
