CCES POSITION PROFILE
POSITION: Education Officer
REPORTS TO: Manager, Education (M1)
CLASSIFICATION LEVEL: Level 3 (Program Administration)
Please note, this position is intended to be a hybrid role based in either Ottawa or Winnipeg.
POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Manager, Education (M1), the Education Officer is responsible for contributing to and leading awareness-raising, informational, and values-based education activities across all areas of the CCES strategic plan, including Canadian Anti-Doping Program (CADP), Canadian Safe Sport Program (CSSP), the Canadian Program to Prevent the Manipulation (CPPCM), and others, as appropriate.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Resource Development and Production
- Recommend new resources and information products to better address learner and program needs;
- Review and recommend revisions to existing resources and information products;
- Contribute to (or lead, as applicable) content development of program resources and information products related to the Canadian Anti-Doping Program, the Canadian Safe Sport Program, the Canadian Program to Prevent Competition Manipulation and fee-for-service initiatives;
- Oversee production and distribution of new and updated resources, including e-learning programs;
- Develop channels/opportunities to broaden the distribution of resources/information products;
- Manage related contract service providers and budgets as required.
Communications
- Develop content and approaches for timely and effective communication of key messages;
- Implement strategies for effective/efficient client education services, including platforms and standardized responses to queries.
Information Services
- Respond to general inquiries related to education;
- Provide service to learners who use the online learning portal;
- Prepare and deliver presentations and webinars;
- As required, assist with major games and fee-for-service educational services.
Partnership Development/Sport Community Capacity Building
- Support partnership development and sport community capacity building by leveraging existing resources and services and/or by creating new ones as required;
- Seek opportunities to establish and enrich CCES education plans with various program signatories;
- Respond to/assist with sport community requests for help with resource development and capacity building relevant to the CCES’ strategic plan;
- Represent the CCES at meetings and events as required.
CCES Quality Management System
- Be aware and knowledgeable of the position’s responsibilities within the Quality Management System;
- Comply with relevant quality system processes and recommend process changes/revisions as appropriate;
- Identify potential risks and help identify and manage risk mitigation strategies for position’s responsibilities;
- Log stakeholder feedback/comments in the Quality Database for tracking and appropriate follow-up.
General Responsibilities
- Other duties as assigned by the Manager, Education (M1), the Manager, Education (M2) and/or the Executive Director, Sport Integrity.
Qualifications and Competencies
- Bachelor degree or college Diploma in the field of education, sport, health and/or social science or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Over one-year on-the-job experience and/or performing similar duties required with knowledge of the Canadian sport community, drug-free sport and Doping Control Programs preferred.
- Experience with various social media platforms with the ability to write and develop various communication pieces.
- Proven project coordination skills including the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, work under pressure and adapt to a fast-paced changing environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to learn quickly and self-motivate while working independently and/or collaborating as part of a team.
- Ability to deliver presentations and workshops.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
- Experience with LMS platforms preferred.
- Experience in instructional design an asset.
- Experience with Storyline 360 or other e-learning development software an asset.
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent French verbal and written communication skills preferred.
