Reesor third on one -metre at British Elite Junior Diving Championships

Diving Canada – SHEFFIELD, England – Emmitt Reesor of Waterloo, Ont., took third spot on one-metre on Sunday to conclude the British Elite Junior Diving Championships.

Todd Geggus of England was first with 301.75 points, local diver Oscar Willcox was second at 297.35 and Reesor followed at 295.50. Loic Tremblay of Quebec City was fifth at 287.05.

‘’I was really pleased with how I dove,’’ said Reesor, also third on three-metre on Friday. ‘’The one-metre requires a lot of height on take-off so you can quickly execute your twists and entries. That’s what it makes it different from three-metre.’’

On women’s one-metre, Sheffield divers Maisie Bond and Jenna Davison were 1-2. Jordane Legault of Blainville, Que., was fourth, less than four points from the podium. Maika Januario of Terrebonne, Que., was ninth and Renee Batalla of Victoria 11th.
