We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our organization in the seasonal role of Assistant Coach, CAST D Women’s Team.

Reporting to the Head Coach, the Assistant will support ACA’s mission to increase podium performance by executing strategies targeting both short-term and long-term athletic development and performance benchmarks through leadership of a tier within the Canadian Alpine Ski Team structure.

Duties:

  • Active engagement on snow during training and competition
  • Assist Head Coach on hill with course setting, course maintenance and other tasks as assigned
  • Maintain tracking and monitoring data on each athlete
  • Provide support with ski preparation during camp and competition
  • Maintain professional athlete and team interaction
  • Provide assistance with athlete equipment
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of expenses

Working Conditions

  • Seasonal position from August 1st to April 30th, 2026
  • Constant travel required
  • Significant time working outdoors in winter conditions
  • Requires lifting, walking, skiing and other physical work for multiple days consecutively

Employment Requirements

  • Experience working in a ski team environment at the development level or above
  • Evidence of interest in ski-service and or coaching as a career path
  • Demonstrates rapid skill development in a dynamic environment
  • Self-motivated and capable of managing tasks with minimal oversight
  • Possesses a strong foundation in ski racing principles and practices
  • ACA certified development coach or equivalent
  • Fluent in the English language and the ability to communicate in French and/or German, is an asset

Additionally, the candidate must be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills with experience driving results in complex workplace and stakeholder environments.  Advanced ability working with MS office applications is required.
