(OSHAWA, ONT.) – Wheelchair Basketball Canada is set to host a National Team training camp at Durham College in Oshawa, Ont., from May 26–29, 2025.
A total of 34 athletes from across the country will attend the four-day camp with the goal of preparing to achieve consistent podium placings at international competitions this summer.
A core focus of the camp will be developing high-performance habits and fostering strong, supportive team relationships, all while prioritizing the well-being of each athlete.
“This camp is an important opportunity for athletes to grow within our high-performance environment,” said Jeff Dunbrack, Wheelchair Basketball Canada’s High Performance Director.“It allows us to evaluate and support emerging and established athletes as we continue building toward future success on the world stage.”
Both men’s and women’s teams will participate in on-and off-court activities designed to help them refine their skills and build chemistry as they gear up for this summer’s competitions, including the Under-23 World Championships and the Americas Cup qualifier.
