Montréal, April 14, 2025 – Golf Québec and the PGA of Québec are proud to announce the launch of their brand-new initiative: Élan féminin – golf for her. This recreational initiative is aimed at women and girls throughout Québec. The objective of this project is to introduce people to a world that is still too little known, and to show that golf is an accessible, exciting, and rewarding sport, whatever your age.
Élan féminin will be offering a series of activities and events in several regions of the province. Whether you’re discovering golf for the first time, regaining your confidence after a long break or simply having fun with friends, this program aims to reach a greater number of female golfers, including those who don’t usually take part in the competitive tours.
Through three types of events tailored to different levels and interests, the initiative aims to break down barriers to female participation, encourage repeat participation in the sport, and strengthen the sense of belonging to the Québec golfing community.
With Élan féminin: golf for her, Golf Québec is responding to an important issue: the under-representation of women and girls in our sport. By focusing on a recreational, friendly, and rallying approach, the Federation is reaffirming its leadership role in golf development in Québec and its commitment to building a more equitable and diverse community.
For its part, the PGA of Québec relies on Élan féminin to highlight the important role played by women in the industry. In fact, the program showcases several of the association’s female professionals who are actively working to develop women’s golf in Québec. We believe that, through this initiative, more women will choose golf as a career.
