Position Overview
Volleyball NB is seeking a Performance Lead to lead its performance and excellence programs. The successful candidate will ensure that identified players and coaches receive the necessary support to progress towards national selection. They will also play a key role in the New Brunswick Pathway Initiative (NBPPI) and help athletes develop in alignment with the Long-Term Development Plan (LTD).
Position: Performance Lead
Reports To: Executive Director
Location: Fredericton, New Brunswick with travel or remote with travel
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, including evenings and weekends as required
Duration: Full-time, four-year contract (possibility of renewal)
Salary: $50,000 – $60,000 per year

Volleyball New Brunswick is a non-profit organization that was established in 1984 to provide quality services and programs to all interested individuals and groups that will assist in the promotion, development, and growth of volleyball in New Brunswick. Volleyball New Brunswick creates pathways to support members and players to develop to their full potential through commitment, passion, and advocacy.
Key Responsibilities
The Provincial Performance Lead will be responsible for:
- Leading High-Performance Programs within New Brunswick
- Ensuring players develop appropriately through the Long-Term Development (LTD) Plan with the goal of increasing the number of players identified for Volleyball Canada national programs and/or camps
- Assisting in the planning and execution of all Provincial Team programs including but not limited to Team NB, HP Beach, and PEP.
- Further developing the player and coach development pathway in collaboration with various stakeholders
- Coordinating with CSI Atlantic sport science staff, National Team staff, Volleyball Canada, coaches, provincial clubs, and other experts to deliver modern, relevant programs
- Identifying and developing performance Volleyball coaches in New Brunswick
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have:
- Minimum NCCP certified Development Coach, preferred certified Advanced Development Coach
- Experience working at a performance level is an asset
- Being a volleyball learning facilitator is an asset
- Valid Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check
- NCCP Safe Sport Training and signatory of the Universal Code of Conduct for Maltreatment in Sport (UCCMS)
- Valid Driver’s License
- Must be eligible to work in Canada
- Be comfortable communicating in both English and French, fluent in both is preferred

- Proven ability to address and manage conflict
- Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.)
- Experience using social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter)
