BUDAPEST, HUNGARY (March 16, 2025) – Les Suprêmes (Saint-Léonard, Quebec) dominated the Budapest Cup, topping the podium with a total score of 232.17 points. The team secured first place in both the short and free programs, delivering impressive performances throughout the weekend.
During the free program on Sunday, Les Suprêmes, already in the lead, secured their victory by earning 153.05 points in the very last routine of the competition.
“It was a whole new day and a new opportunity to show how hard we’ve worked on this program, especially on our music interpretation,” shared Olivia DiGiandomenico. “The crowd here is really incredible and helped us give our best. We were very excited when we got our result.”
The day before, the Canadian representatives claimed the top spot with a season-best score of 79.12 in the short program.
“We were very happy with what we accomplished in the short program,” said Julia Bernardo. “We have put a lot of emphasis on certain elements of our routine since our last competition and I think we had very good energy all together on the ice.”
Les Suprêmes were joined on the podium by the Hungarian team Passion, who finished second with a score of 188.09. The Olympia team, from Czech Republic completed the podium with 172.81 points.
Les Suprêmes are now turning their attention to the World Championships to be held in Helsinki, Finland, on April 4 and 5, where the expectations of the Quebec team will be very high, as they will be looking to defend their championship title from last year.
