Taekwondo Canada’s Poomsae team concludes 2024 World Poomsae Championships in Hong Kong

Ottawa, ON – Taekwondo Canada’s team completed competition at the 2024 World Poomsae Championship in Hong Kong today. The team, which consisted of 46 athletes as well as ten staff, captured a silver and three Bronze in its most successful world championships to date.

Men’s Individual Freestyle U17 athlete Kai-Hsin Chang of Toronto, Ontario captured a Silver medal for Canada while Bronze medals went to Freestyle U17 Pair Kai-Hsin Chang (Toronto, ON) and Rachel Lee (Vaughn, ON), Individual U65 Female Badri Ricciardelli (St. David’s, ON) and Free Style U17 Team of Emma Chau (Markham, ON), Jake Kang (Aurora, ON), Macy Li (Toronto, ON), Vincent Leung (Richmond, B.C.), Ethan So (Richmond Hill, ON) and Godwin Li (Toronto, ON).

The recently completed competition was the best finish for a Taekwondo Canada team at the World Championships to date. The complete team is as follows:
