Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (September 25, 2023) – Gold medals by Skylar Park and Sophia Fokas highlighted an eleven medal performance by Canadian taekwondo athletes at the recently completed Pan American President’s Cup. The competition, held in Rio de Janeiro, was a top competition for taekwondo athletes in the lead up to the 2023 Pan American Games being held in Santiago, Chile in October.
This open event had over 30 Canadian athletes competing, including 13 members of Taekwondo Canada’s Senior Kyorugi National Team and up and coming Cadet and Junior athletes. Canadian medalists are as follows:
