Junior National Team: Dominican Professional Academy Camp Roster Release

OTTAWA – Baseball Canada is pleased to announce the names of 32 athletes who’ve been invited to attend the Junior National Team’s Dominican Professional Academy Camp from May 15-23 in the Dominican Republic.

The 10-day camp will take place in the east coast of the Dominican Republic, home to the vast majority of the 30 Major League Baseball Clubs’ player development academies.

The camp will feature 13 games against squads from the Dominican Summer League including the Phillies, Marlins, Pirates, Padres, Red Sox, Cubs, Giants, Cardinals, Reds, Brewers, and the Blue Jays.

All players invited to camp were invited to the Junior National Team’s spring training camp last month in West Palm Beach, Florida.

LHP Sam Mclaughlin (Toronto, ON) is the newest addition to the roster and will be making his Junior National Team debut in the Dominican Republic.

Head Coach and Director of Men’s National Teams Greg Hamilton leads the coaching staff that includes former professional players and national team alums Chris Begg, Pete Orr and Tim Smith.
