How Sport can Reduce Loneliness and Improve Mental Health

New research shows that children and adolescents are lonelier now than they were before the COVID-19 pandemic. In some cases, more than half of the children and adolescents studied were experiencing moderate levels of loneliness. This is significant because higher levels of loneliness were associated with poorer well-being, including depression, anxiety, and sleep problems.

In this webinar, experts and thought leaders will discuss how sport and physical activity can play a role in reducing loneliness and improving mental health among children and youth as the world recovers from the COVID-19 pandemic.
