Canpitch Launches New Videos

Ottawa, Ont. – Softball Canada is pleased to announce the highly anticipated release of our updated Canpitch videos. These videos are designed to breakdown the crucial components of fundamental pitching with suitable progressions for beginner level pitchers.

Canpitch aims to provide the latest pitching material for beginner pitchers and after feedback from multiple stakeholders. “We knew it was time for a refresh and we are extremely excited about the new videos,” said Lori Zehr, member of the Canpitch Committee. “The main purpose was to teach the specific movements each beginner pitcher should learn to progress into a technically strong pitcher, and I think we have done that.”

The Canpitch videos are available starting today on the Softball Canada website.

“I wanted to express my gratitude to the Provincial and Territorial associations for their support throughout this process, especially Softball B.C., ON., and Que., who took active parts in this creation,” said Angela Ballantyne, Manager, Sport Development. “I also want to acknowledge our Canpitch Committee members: Lori Zehr, Mark Quinn, Elissa Sivel, and Jackie Desilets for the amount of time and effort that has been put into creating and developing this new Canpitch material.”

For more information regarding participating in a Canpitch clinic or running one of your own, please contact your Provincial or Territorial association.
