Volleyball Canada introduces new University

April 21, 2022: Volleyball Canada is excited to announce a new event for 2022, the Volleyball Canada University/College Beach National Championships. This inaugural event will be hosted September 3-4 at Ashbridges Bay in Toronto.

“This tournament provides a great opportunity for University and College beach volleyball players to represent their post-secondary institutions in a season-ending event just before their indoor volleyball season begins,” said Ed Drakich, Director of Beach High Performance for Volleyball Canada.

“Volleyball Canada’s Beach High Performance coaches will be present at this event to identify potential Beach National Team athletes that may represent Canada in Los Angeles 2028 and beyond.”

This event will be open to teams from post-secondary institutions across Canada. Teams must be made up with athletes from the same institution.

Registration for the 2022 University/College Beach Nationals will open on June 14, 2022.
