27 divers are named to the Canadian national diving team as the season begins at the 2022 Winter Senior National Championships in Saskatoon, from April 8th to 10th.
OTTAWA, April 5, 2022 – Diving Plongeon Canada is pleased to announce the 2022 Canadian national diving team. The team consists of 14 senior divers and 13 junior divers from across the country, who have been selected based on their performances during the 2021 season and 2022 evaluation camp.
While the junior team welcomes many new talents, the senior team is strongly represented by Olympic medallist Mélissa Citrini-Beaulieu, two-time Olympian Pamela Ware and Tokyo 2020 Olympians Caeli McKay, Celina Toth, Cédric Fofana, Rylan Wiens and Nathan Zsombor-Murray. Their appointment to the National Team is effective until December 31st, 2022.
Many national team members have traveled to Saskatoon to compete at the 2022 Winter Senior National Championships this week. The event, hosted at the Shaw Centre, will see 40 divers from twelve diving clubs compete in the 1-metre, 3-metre and 10-metre event from April 8th to 10th. Live results will be accessible through www.diving.ca and a web broadcast will be available through CBC Sports.

The championships will serve as a qualification for the FINA Diving Grand Prix, scheduled to take place in Calgary, Alberta, from June 9th to 12th, 2022. The event is also part of que qualification process for the 2022 FINA World Championships in Budapest, Hungary, from June 25th to July 7th, 2022.
