National Collegiate Flag Football Championship set

OTTAWA — Football Canada can confirm that the inaugural National Collegiate Flag Football Championship will be held in Ottawa, on the campus of Carleton University, from May 6 to 7. The event, which will run concurrently with the selection camp for the Senior Women’s National Tackle Team, will host 10 women’s teams: three from Saskatchewan, three from Ontario, two from Quebec, and one each from Manitoba and Nova Scotia. Play will begin at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 6 and noon on Saturday, May 7. The gold medal game is set for 9 p.m. on May 7. The field and the full schedule of the event will be announced later.
