Next week, athletes, parents, coaches, as well as recreation, sport and community organizations will be joining Active for Life in celebrating PARENTS IN SPORT WEEK (October 4 to 10).
Sport is different this year with lower participation and fewer opportunities for parents to be involved. That said, parents are still essential in supporting their kids through the pandemic and they want to know how to be a great sports parents during and after COVID-19.Â
For clubs and coaches the week is an opportunity to recognize sports parents as well as assess and improve their efforts to inform and involve parents.Â
