Golf Canada is the National Sports Federation and governing body for golf in Canada, representing more than 319,000 golfers and 1,435 member clubs across the country. We’re looking for a digital storyteller to help create timely content through Golf Canada’s social channels and digital platforms.
PRIMARY DUTIES
Content creation & publishing (60%)
- Produce and distribute creative assets for Golf Canada’s web, digital, and social channels (i.e., short-form video, long-form video, graphics, etc.).
- Develop content (written and image) for Golf Canada’s online properties.
Community management (20%)
- Assist with monitoring Golf Canada’s social media channels and respond to questions/comments.
- Assist with various communications initiatives for Golf Canada’s amateur and professional golf championships (RBC Canadian Open & CP Women’s Open).
Administrative support (15%)
- Help track and report on projects using project management software.
Other Duties (5%)
- Special assignments as required.
- Some travel may be required.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, & ABILITIES
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects)
- Familiarity with Canva software
- Proficient in all social platforms
- Experience with photography or video production considered an asset
- Strong organizational and administration skills
- Evening and weekend hours will be required to cover relevant golf news
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Bilingual (English and French) is not required but considered an asset
- Golf knowledge or experience is not required but considered an asset
