Title: Intern, Digital Content and Social Media
Reports to: Manager, Content and Social Strategy
Location: Golf Canada Head Office
Status: Contract
Ideal Start Date: May 2025
End Date: August 2025

Golf Canada is the National Sports Federation and governing body for golf in Canada, representing more than 319,000 golfers and 1,435 member clubs across the country. We’re looking for a digital storyteller to help create timely content through Golf Canada’s social channels and digital platforms.

PRIMARY DUTIES

Content creation & publishing (60%)

  • Produce and distribute creative assets for Golf Canada’s web, digital, and social channels (i.e., short-form video, long-form video, graphics, etc.).
  • Develop content (written and image) for Golf Canada’s online properties.

Community management (20%)

  • Assist with monitoring Golf Canada’s social media channels and respond to questions/comments.
  • Assist with various communications initiatives for Golf Canada’s amateur and professional golf championships (RBC Canadian Open & CP Women’s Open).

Administrative support (15%)

  • Help track and report on projects using project management software.

Other Duties (5%)

  • Special assignments as required.
  • Some travel may be required.

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, & ABILITIES

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects)
  • Familiarity with Canva software
  • Proficient in all social platforms
  • Experience with photography or video production considered an asset
  • Strong organizational and administration skills
  • Evening and weekend hours will be required to cover relevant golf news
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Bilingual (English and French) is not required but considered an asset
  • Golf knowledge or experience is not required but considered an asset
