In a meta-analysis of a number of studies examining the link between being physically active and the risk of Alzheimer disease, those who were more, compared to less, physically active were 35% less likely to develop Alzheimer disease. Combined with other meta-analyses, this study determined that there is sufficient evidence to promote physical activity as an effective disease prevention measure.
