Position Overview:
SIRC is looking for a dynamic, bilingual, detail-oriented individual to join us as a Newsletter Assistant. As part of our team, you’ll help share vital sport news through the Canadian Sport Daily, the only daily e-newsletter serving the sport sector. This is a fantastic opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of Canadian sport, stay connected, and be a part of something that matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Edit and support the Canadian Sport Daily, ensuring content meets SIRC’s high editorial standards.
- Deliver news, research, job postings, and updates from across the Canadian sport community.
- Contribute to achieving SIRC’s strategic goals for growth, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.
- Work independently with 1-2 hours of evening work up to 5 days a week (Sunday to Thursday).
Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Fluency in both French and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- At least one year of editing experience with a strong eye for spelling and grammar.
- Comfortable working under tight deadlines and delivering accurate content quickly.
- Experience with WordPress content management systems is an asset.
- A passion for sport, with knowledge of Canada’s sport landscape.
Working Conditions:
- Flexible evening hours, 1-2 hours of evening work up to 5 days a week (Sunday to Thursday).
- Part-time contract.
