Position Overview
- Provide support to the broader Partnerships team while working with Golf Canada’s sponsors.
- Support the development and execution of partner service plans per their respective agreements, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of contractual obligations.
- Plan and execute the Honorary Observer and Inside the Ropes programs, Champion’s Reception invitations, and Monday After the Open Golf Experience for professional championship events.
- Correspond with Golf Canada’s partners regarding agreement deliverables, brand approvals, event invitations, and various partner-led initiatives.
- Maintain up-to-date materials on assigned properties.
- Prepare partner fulfillment reports and establish templates (gathering metrics, results, photos, etc.).
- Provide administrative support and other duties as assigned.
- Travel and weekend work may be required, particularly leading up to and during the RBC Canadian Open and CPKC Women’s Open.
PRIMARY DUTIES
Administrative Support (30%)
- Track various partner assets.
- Compile and catalogue partner logos, images, branding samples, and digital assets for championship events.
- Assist with fulfilling orders for gifting, event assets, and departmental needs, including managing shipments and inventory (some heavy lifting may be required).
- Perform filing, binding, printing, photocopying, and other administrative tasks.
Ancillary Program/Event Execution (30%)
- Plan and execute the Honorary Observer and Inside the Ropes programs, Champion’s Reception invitations, and Monday After the Open Golf Experience.
- Prepare communications and invitations for program participants.
- Work with PGA TOUR and LPGA TOUR officials on program guidelines.
- Coordinate with vendors for gifting and prizing.
- Collaborate with host clubs and stakeholders to ensure program success.
Professional Championships Support (40%)
- Support the Partnerships team with all tasks related to the RBC Canadian Open and CPKC Women’s Open.
- Assist with partner needs leading up to and during these events.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, & ABILITIES
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Sport Management, Event Marketing, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong attention to detail, professionalism, and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Critical thinking skills, resourcefulness, and problem-solving ability.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills, including professional phone, interpersonal, and email communication.
- Strong decision-making and conflict-resolution abilities.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Access to personal transportation.
- Availability to work a minimum of 2 days per week in the office throughout the internship.
- Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset but not required.
- Golf knowledge or experience is an asset but not required.
