Golf Canada is the National Sports Federation and governing body for golf in Canada representing more than 319,000 golfers and 1,435 member clubs across the country. We’re looking for a digital storyteller to help create timely content through Golf Canada’s social channels and digital platforms.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
1. Content creation & publishing 60%
• Produce and distribute creative assets for Golf Canada’s web, digital and social channels (i.e. short-form video, long-form video, graphics, etc.)
• Develop content (written and image) for Golf Canada’s online properties
2. Community management 20%
• Assist with monitoring Golf Canada’s social media channels and respond to questions/comments
• Assist with various communications initiatives for Golf Canada’s amateur and professional golf championships (RBC Canadian Open & CP Women’s Open);
3. Administrative support 15%
• Help track and report on projects using project management software
4. Other Duties 5%
• Special assignments as required
• Some travel may be required
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, & ABILITIES:
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects)
• Familiarity with Canva software
• Proficient in all social platforms
• Experience with photography or video production considered
• Strong organizational skills administration skills
• Evening and weekend hours will be required to cover relevant golf news
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Strong decision making skills
• The ability to work independently and part of a team
• Bilingual (English and French) is not required but considered an asset.
• Golf knowledge or experience is not required but considered an asset.
