OPPORTUNITY

Title: Coordinator, Golf Services – NGL (1 Position)
Reports to: Brian Doherty, Manager, Golf Services
Location: Golf Canada Head Office (2 days per week) / Remote
Status: 4-Month Internship (Paid)
Ideal Start Date: April 2025

OVERVIEW

The Coordinator, Golf Services – NGL is responsible for providing customer service to golf clubs, leagues, and individual member golfers (via emails and phone calls). The role includes assisting in the implementation of member service initiatives, with a specific focus on the National Golf League (NGL). The coordinator will review, maintain, and make recommendations to improve user and member experiences.

PRIMARY DUTIES

NGL Support (70%)

  • Assist with tracking NGL events, leagues, participants, and scoring
  • Support the execution of the NGL communication plan
  • Send email communications and templates to participating clubs
  • Serve as the primary customer service contact for NGL-related questions
  • Provide primary support for GolfGenius
  • Monitor the NGL events calendar
  • Maintain expert understanding of the NGL playbook and Operator Manual

    Member/Customer Service (30%)

    • Provide customer service and Score Centre support for member clubs and golfers
    • Act as the primary contact for member services (e.g., transfers, merging, account modifications)
    • Make recommendations to improve user experience and customer service

      REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, & ABILITIES

      • French language considered an asset
      • Excellent organizational skills
      • Strong interpersonal skills
      • Customer service experience
      • Excellent communication skills
      • Competency with Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
      • Ability to work in groups and independently
      • Ability to manage multiple priorities
      • Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment
      • Flexible hours, including some weekends
      • Golf knowledge is considered an asset

      WORK HOURS

      Golf Canada’s regular hours of work are 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday), consisting of 8 hours per day, including a one-hour lunch. Due to the demands of the position, work hours may vary or become irregular to meet job objectives.
