Job Summary
As a Partnerships Intern, you will play a key supporting role in assisting the CPC Partnerships team in managing and activating commercial partnerships. Over the course of this internship, you will gain valuable hands-on experience in partnership administration and activation coordination. You will work closely with internal teams (including Marketing & Communications, the Paralympic Foundation of Canada, and the Sport Team) to ensure the smooth execution of partnership activities, help track partnership goals and performance, and support the refinement of processes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in sport marketing, sponsorship, and event management, particularly within the Paralympic movement.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
Partnership Support & Relationship Management
- Assist in providing administrative support to the Partnerships team in managing commercial partners.
- Help track, monitor, and report on partnership goals, ensuring alignment with CPC’s objectives.
- Provide support with partner meetings, including preparation of meeting materials, scheduling, and tracking follow-ups.
- Maintain organized records of partnership activities, including schedules, budgets, and progress updates.
Partner Activation & Event Coordination
- Assist in the coordination and execution of partner activations and events, including logistics, communication, and material preparation.
- Help manage athlete appearance requests with the Athlete Services team and support the development of materials to enhance and streamline this process.
- Assist with tracking budgets for partnership activations and reporting on any expenses.
- Through collaboration with the Partnerships team and researching other Sport Rights Holders, build a report exploring new activation opportunities for CPC Partners.
Reporting & Strategic Alignment
- Help gather and organize data to track the success and impact of partnership activations.
- Assist in preparing reports on partnership performance, including key milestones and outcomes.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to provide insights to the team.
Collaboration with Internal Teams
- Work closely with internal teams (such as Marketing & Communications) to support the delivery of partner initiatives.
- Assist with cross-functional coordination to ensure that partnership activities align with CPC’s overall goals.
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist with research and business development projects, including identifying new partnership opportunities.
Qualifications
Education
- University or College Diploma in Sport Management, a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Must be a Paralympian.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Basic understanding of sports sponsorship and marketing, with an interest in Paralympic sport considered an asset.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to collaborate effectively with both internal teams and external partners.
- High attention to detail, with a strong ability to track and manage information.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
