CAAWS  – Ottawa, ON – CAAWS would like to officially welcome its newest elected Board Member, Tanya Mruck of Toronto, ON, along with members re-elected for a second term Nathalie Cook (Toronto, ON), Rochelle Grayson (Vancouver, BC), and Leanne Nicolle (Toronto, ON).

CAAWS would also like to congratulate Dr. Sandip Lalli (Dewinton, AB) who has been elected as the new Chair of the Board. As well, Jennifer Fenton (Vancouver, BC) who was elected Past-Chair.

Dr. Sandip Lalli is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Keystone Excavating Ltd.  She holds an Institute of Corporate Directors Designation, a Doctorate in Business Administration, and is a Fellow Chartered Professional Accountant.

“Sandip has consistently contributed strategic and courageous leadership to the advancement of CAAWS’ mission,” CAAWS CEO, Allison Sandmeyer-Graves commented.  “As Chair, Sandip’s clarity of vision, entrepreneurship, and skill at building consensus combine to make her the ideal leader to steward the organization on an innovative trajectory as we enter our 36th year.”

Tanya Mruck is a sports and social responsibility strategist who, as the Director of Operations at the MLSE Foundation, held both the fundraising and community investment portfolios. She is now the first Executive Director of MLSE LaunchPad, establishing the ground-breaking facility focused on youth development through sport, education and research.

With continued emphasis on a Board that represents valuable skill sets for organization growth and development, CAAWS is well-positioned for continued relevance and impact. “Tanya brings thought leadership on sport for social impact, hands-on experience in leading organizational transformation, and strong insight into both community level and professional sport,” adds Allison Sandmeyer-Graves. “We’re excited to have her contributions at the table.”
