Celebrate National Coaches Week in Manitoba September 22-30, 2018
Sport Manitoba – September 21, 2018 – WINNIPEG, Manitoba – National Coaches Week is a week-long public awareness campaign that encourages Canadians to say thanks and celebrate the tremendous positive impact coaches have on athletes and communities. This week will focus on putting a spotlight on coaches and give this, largely volunteer, integral part of Canadian sport a thanks.
With events held across the province and country to celebrate coaching, National Coaches Week provides coaches with the recognition they deserve for the time they devote to ensuring Canadians live an active, healthy lifestyle. This week say thanks to the more than twenty-one thousand coaches who call Manitoba home.

Workshops taking place at the Canada Games Sport for Life Centre
- Core Learning Facilitator Training: Sept 22, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- Core Coach Evaluator Training: Sept 23, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- Psychology of Performance: Sept 24 and Sept 27 6:30 p.m. – 10 p.m.
- FREE: Responsible Coaching Movement: Sept 25, 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
- Manage a Sport Program: Sept 26, 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Free tickets for Coaches
The University of Manitoba Bisons athletic teams want to thank all coaches by giving them a FREE ticket to any home volleyball, basketball or hockey game that can be used during the regular 2018/2019 season.

Sport Manitoba is a not for profit organization and the lead planning, programming and funding agency for the development of amateur sport in Manitoba.
