Synchro Canada – Ottawa, July 17, 2017 — Synchro Canada is pleased to announce that Calgary, AB, will present the 2018 Canadian Synchronized Swimming Qualifier Championships on March 20-25, 2018, at the Repsol Sport Centre

Hosted by the Calgary Aquabelles in collaboration with Synchro Alberta and Synchro Canada, the Canadian Qualifier Championships is the largest competition on the national calendar and features swimmers from the 13-15, junior (16-18) and senior age groups.  At stake in this competition are berths to participate in the year-end National Championships for each age group.

The 2017 Canadian Qualifier Championships, held in Quebec City, welcomed 476 athletes representing 40 clubs from 9 provinces across Canada, as well as 95 coaches and 40 officials.

“Synchro Canada is extremely pleased to be returning to the Repsol Sport Centre in Calgary for the 2018 Canadian Synchronized Swimming Qualifier Championships” said Synchro Canada’s Chief Executive Officer, Jackie Buckingham. “The staff at the Repsol Centre are skilled and passionate about hosting successful events so along with our host hotel – the Ramada Plaza Calgary Downtown, we know we are in great hands.  We are also thrilled to work with our superstar volunteer team from the Calgary Aquabelles, and our friends and colleagues at Synchro Alberta who will invest their time and skills to assist us on the ground as our local organizing committee.”
