Coaches across Canada are choosing to enhance their coaching skills through the NCCP Advanced Coaching Diploma (ACD). The program provides coaches with a coach driven, expert led, peer enriched, and mentor supported education that helps them progress to the next stage in their coaching pathway.

Athletics Coach, and ACD student Deon Flynn understands the importance in investing in yourself as a coach; “It’s one thing to be a good coach, it’s something else to be a great coach. To me, the Advanced Coaching Diploma is the ultimate course to take where you actually grow in the sport, you go from good to great.”

The Canadian Olympic and Paralympic Sport Institute Network deliver the program, which draws on the expertise of leading sport scientists and academics, sport industry leaders, as well as expert NCCP coaches and mentors. The program’s flexible structure and online delivery option allows it to be accessed through live online delivery, as well as through recorded content, so coaches can consult it when they’re traveling and still maintain their connection to their cohort.

Jason Sjostrom, Director of Coaching at the Canadian Sport Institute Calgary, knows the value that ACD coaches bring to their athletes. “When I hear from the athletes whose coaches have completed the program, what they find has impacted their relationship the most is the way that ACD coaches think about practices and think about their athlete’s development. They are now more intentional and purposeful in the way they go about their training environment.”

The Coaching Association of Canada (CAC) is committed to supporting coaches who are working to achieve a standard of excellence in their profession. If you work with competitive athletes and are looking to enhance your coaching skills, competencies, and sport education, the NCCP Advanced Coaching Diploma (ACD) may be the next step in your coaching career.
