Brampton, Ont. – Softball Canada is pleased to announce the list of thirty-two (32) athletes who will attend the 2022 Women’s National Team Selection Camp that will be held June 8-12 in Brampton, Ont.
 
The athletes were selected by the Women’s National Team coaching staff following a series of regional identification camps that were held in Saskatoon, Sask., Surrey, B.C. and Brampton, Ont. over the last few weeks, scouting at the university/college level and past performance.
 
The Selection Camp roster includes six returning players and two alternates from the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Team, and nineteen (19) former Junior Women’s National Team members.
 
Eight athletes have been invited following their performance at the regional identification camps: Ruby Anderson (Victoria, B.C.), Deanna Grahek (Georgetown, Ont.), Annabelle Guay (Terrebonne, Que.), Lindsey Hibbs (Brampton, Ont.), Nevada Johnson (Ladner, B.C.), Lindsay Mayo (Paradise Valley, Alta.), Hayley Pasma (Georgetown, Ont.) and Carey-Leigh Vyse (Ohsweken, Ont.).
 
Following the Selection Camp, the coaching staff will select their roster for the Women’s National Team Celebration Tour stops in Ontario (June 16-18) and Saskatchewan (June 29 to July 1), the Canada Cup International Softball Championship (June 20-26) and the World Games (July 9-13).

Brampton, Ont. – Softball Canada est heureux d’annoncer la liste des trente-deux (32) athlètes qui participeront au camp de sélection 2022 de l’équipe nationale féminine qui aura lieu du 8 au 12 juin à Brampton, Ont.
 
Les athlètes ont été sélectionnées par le personnel d’entraîneurs de l’équipe nationale féminine à la suite d’une série de camps d’identification régionaux qui ont eu lieu à Saskatoon, Sask., Surrey, C.-B. et Brampton, Ont. au cours des dernières semaines, le dépistage au niveau universitaire/collégial et les performances précédentes.
 
La formation du camp de sélection comprend six athlètes et deux alternes de l’équipe olympique de Tokyo 2020, et dix-neuf (19) anciennes membres de l’équipe nationale féminine junior.
 
Huit athlètes ont été invitées suite à leur performance aux camps d’identification régionaux: Ruby Anderson (Victoria, C.-B.), Deanna Grahek (Georgetown, Ont.), Annabelle Guay (Terrebonne, Qc), Lindsey Hibbs (Brampton, Ont.), Nevada Johnson (Ladner, C.-B.), Lindsay Mayo (Paradise Valley, Alb.), Hayley Pasma (Georgetown, Ont.) et Carey-Leigh Vyse (Ohsweken, Ont.).
 
À la suite du camp de sélection, le personnel d’entraîneurs sélectionnera sa formation pour les arrêts de la tournée de célébration de l’équipe nationale féminine en Ontario (du 16 au 18 juin) et au Saskatchewan (du 29 juin au 1er juillet), le Championnat international de softball de la Coupe du Canada (du 20 au 26 juin) et les Jeux mondiaux (9 au 13 juillet).
