Canadian Women’s Hockey League – TORONTO, Ont. – This Sunday, Aug. 20, the Canadian Women’s Hockey League will open its 2017 CWHL Draft to media, providing an opportunity to both cover the draft and interview top CWHL draft picks. 

Media who wish to attend the 2017 CWHL Draft are asked to complete the credential application below by Friday, Aug. 18 at 1 p.m. EDT.  Media availability will be held post-draft with draftees in attendance. Those wishing further access for longer form interviews with attending players are asked to contact Heather Engel at communications@thecwhl.com.

2017 CWHL Draft Player List

The complete list of registered players for the 2017 CWHL Draft has been finalized and is available below. This year, 119 players registered for the draft, an increase of 47% from 2016 Draft numbers (81). The draft will see nine countries represented (Canada, China, Finland, France, Japan, Kazakhstan, New Zealand, Turkey, USA). 2017 CWHL Draft List
