WOMEN’S HIGH PERFORMANCE HOSTS 4TH ANNUAL TECHNICAL SUMMIT
Canada Basketball – TORONTO, ON (December 2, 2016) – Nineteen coaches, technical leaders, and performance analysts from across the country will participate in the 4thannual Women’s High Performance Technical Summit at Humber Lakeshore, in Toronto, from December 6th – 9th.
“We’re now in the beginning of a new Olympic cycle and it’s important to take this time to reflect on the past four years and set our cultural and technical direction for the next quad. The overall goal is performance on demand and consistent podium performance at the Olympic Games,” said Denise Dignard, Director, Women’s High Performance.
As a key investment in professional development, coaches from all levels of women’s high performance will be in attendance. The summit has been fundamental to growing the depth and scope of the coaching pool to a world-class level, using the program’s Gold Medal Model.
“Developing world-class Canadian coaches is one of our goals. We’re proud to have 13 U Sport coaches involved at this year’s summit, as they are an integral part of our coaching and technical leadership team,” added Dignard.
The summit will be led by women’s high performance program technical staff members, including:

- Agnes Borg, Manager Youth Player Development
