Sport Manitoba and the Manitoba Sportswriters and Sportscasters Association announce award nominees and finalists
Sport Manitoba – March 22, 2017 (Winnipeg, MB) – Sport Manitoba and Manitoba Sportswriters and Sportscasters Association (MSSA) are partnering to celebrate the best athletes in Manitoba.
Every year both Sport Manitoba and the MSSA select the top athletes in the province in individual and team categories and celebrates their accomplishments in sport.This year MSSA is partnering with Sport Manitoba and integrating their award presentations into the annual Night of Champions, presented by Manitoba Chicken. Sport Manitoba and MSSA want to recognize accomplishments in sport across the spectrum and feel that doing so in one event creates stronger bonds throughout the sport community.
On April 22, 2017 we will celebrate these successes at the annual Night of Champions presented by Manitoba Chicken.

Sport Manitoba is a not for profit organization and the lead planning, programming and funding agency for the development of amateur sport in Manitoba. Located in the Canada Games Sport for Life Centre, Sport Manitoba partners with over 100 organizations to deliver sport in our province and is responsible for programs including the Power Smart Manitoba Games, Coaching Manitoba, Team Manitoba, Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame, Fit Kids Healthy Kids and KidSport. The MSSA is a non-profit, fraternal organization of sports media members who select Athletes of the Year, hands out the Jack Matheson Award and Ron Meyers Memorial scholarships, recognizes the careers of sportswriters and sportscasters through the Media Roll of Honour and acts as an advocate for sports journalism issues.
