Sport Calgary to host ninth annual All Sport One Day
Sport Calgary – Sport Calgary is hosting its Calgary-wide sporting event, All Sport One Day, for the ninth consecutive year on June 17. All Sport One Day is a free day of sport discovery for children ages 6 to 12. Kids can sign up to attend up to two sport discovery sessions, choosing from over 60 different sport activities, offered at 14 facilities in all four quadrants of Calgary. All Sport One Day encourages multi-sport participation, which is one of the keys to physical literacy and an active lifestyle. Registration for the event is open, and will close on June 11 at 11:30 p.m.

WHERE: At 14 facilities around the city: The Genesis Centre/Saddletowne YMCA, Vivo, WinSport, Cardel South Rec Centre/Shawnessy YMCA, Westside, Village Square Leisure Centre, Glenmore Athletic Park, Southland Recreation Centre, Repsol Centre, Trico Wellness Centre, Calgary Soccer Centre and The University of Calgary.
WHY: For kids ages 6 to 12 to enjoy a free day of sport and to encourage physical literacy.
MEDIA OPPORTUNITIES: At WinSport, Catriona Le May Doan, O.C. and a representative from WinSport will be available from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. to talk about the event and the importance of multi-sport literacy for kids. Both parties are advocates of sport in Calgary, the Olympic bid, and a new fieldhouse.
