RA Centre – (Ottawa, ON) – The RA is pleased to share that Speed Skating Canada has committed to the House of Sport and moved in August 28, 2017.

The House of Sport, currently being developed at the RA’s Riverside Drive campus, is an innovative, first of its kind design in Canada offering National (NSO) and Multi-Sport (MSO) organizations the opportunity to benefit from a feature rich environment designed for collaboration, innovation and leveraging efficiencies.

Speed Skating Canada is the governing body for competitive long track and short track speed skating in Canada.

“Speed Skating Canada is happy to join the family of the House of Sport,” said Susan Auch, Speed Skating Canada’s Chief Executive Officer. “Although speed skating is an individual sport, success can only happen through teamwork including athletes, coaches, support staff, volunteers and families. We are very excited to replicate this team work with other NSO’s in a modern infrastructure at the RA House of Sport.”

“We are thrilled to be welcoming Speed Skating Canada to the House of Sport,” says Tosha Rhodenizer, RA Chief Executive Officer. “Striving to be the best that one can be, as over-used as the phrase has become, is a core value embodied by Speed Skating Canada and the RA community as a whole.”

The House of Sport will offer organizations an open concept community and the opportunity to collaborate with like-minded organizations, and will support them with a wide range of services and meeting rooms, leveraging economies of scale to drive down costs. This is on top of access to health and wellness opportunities for staff members.
