Rugby Nova Scotia – The 2017 Canadian Rugby Championship will be hosted in Truro, Nova Scotia July 17th – July 22nd.

The Canadian Rugby Championship is a premier annual event showcasing Canada’s young and rising rugby talents and is a key feature in Rugby Canada’s Talent Identification program with the goal of producing players for the Canadian Senior Men’s and Senior Women’s National Teams. This year’s tournament will host the U-19 Men’s and Senior Women’s competitions comprising of 10 teams and between 300 and 400 athletes, coaches and match officals.

The tournament will be jointly hosted by Rugby Nova Scotia and Truro Saints Rugby Football Club. The dedication of rugby clubs within Nova Scotia and provincial union is exemplified by the increase in provincial player representation on Rugby Canada’s identification program has gone from 1 to 24 over a three-year period. Truro Saints Rugby Football Club has the highest quality rugby facility in Atlantic Canada- boasting two full-sized World Rugby standard pitches, a practice pitch and a clubhouse.
