CANADA LOSES TIGHT GAME TO SPAIN AT FIBA U19 WORLD CUP
Canada Basketball – CAIRO, EGYPT (July 2, 2017) – The U19 Men’s National Team took on Spain in the group stage of the FIBA U19 Basketball World Cup 2017, losing a tightly-contested game by a score of 78-73.
Abu Kigab (St. Catharines, ON) led Canada with 16 points and 8 rebounds while Prince Oduro (Toronto, ON) added 14 points and 6 rebounds. Lindell Wigginton (Halifax, NS) chipped in with 11 points and 7 rebounds in the loss. Click here for the box score.
Lindell Wigginton (Halifax, NS), Abu Kigab (St. Catharines, ON), R.J. Barrett (Mississauga, ON), Anthony Longpre (L’Assomption, QC) and Amidou Bamba (Toronto, ON) started for Canada.
