Vancouver, BC – December 1, 2016: BC Rugby is pleased to announce the rosters for the NextGen 7s Men’s and Women’s teams that will be representing BC in the Las Vegas Invitational tournament as well as the Vancouver Rugby Festival in March 2017.
 
Coach Aaron Frisby shares, “These are the strongest squads that have represented this program and we have very high expectations for both Vegas and Vancouver. We have a number of returning players as well as some new blood as we continue to create a pathway to higher honours for our BC athletes.”
 
The Men’s team will be competing in the Aces Division in Vegas and the Elite Division in Vancouver. The Women’s team, who had amazing results this past year remaining undefeated in both the Vegas Invitational and the Vancouver Rugby Festival, will be competing in the Open Division in Vegas and the Elite Division in Vancouver. Assistant Coach for the Women’s team is Emily Young and the Trainer is Kiyomi Thompson.
 
These tournaments provide an ideal opportunity for players to experience high quality international competition. The aim is to develop these players into world-class athletes that will play for Canada’s National Sevens teams.
