Archery Canada – Just after returning from Shanghai’s World Cup, and four weeks prior to the start of the third World Cup of the year in Salt Lake City, Utah, Canada is announcing a team of four Recurve men and one Recurve woman to compete for Canada. The high performance program’s Technical Leadership team for 2017 is comprised of Alan Brahmst (Performance Director), Joan McDonald and Shawn Riggs (National Training Squad Coaches), and Dick Tone (Technical Consultant).

Fresh off shooting a new Canadian women’s record of 652, and breaking her own former record of 648, Georcy-Stéphanie Thiffeault Picard will represent Canada in the women’s event, while Crispin Duenas will join three of the men who competed in Shanghai, Hamilton Nguyen, Conner Sorley and Brandon Xuereb.

The team in Salt Lake City will be lead by Joan McDonald and Dick Tone as the project lead coaches. Both McDonald and Tone are currently in Florida as technical leads at the first TOP training camp of the year, which has been integrated with the Gator Cup as a competition element.
