Golf Ontario is very pleased to invite you to attend “Partner Focused”, our 2019 Conference and Annual General Meeting that will take place on Monday April 1, 2019 at Glen Abbey Golf Club in Oakville. This will be an exciting opportunity for Golf Ontario to bring together key member facilities, influential members of the golf industry, volunteers, staff and others to learn more about many of the important initiatives that will be delivered in 2019 and beyond.

‘Partner Focused’ is the focus of our recent Strategic Plan and reflects our focus on building stronger relationships with our member facilities. We believe that working together as partners will give us the greatest chance to grow golf in Ontario. With this in mind, we have a number of exciting initiatives planned that will strengthen both the facility and the provincial organization and are excited to share those with you.

As always, we will be conducting our annual general meeting during this session. The Notice of Meeting for this and corresponding documents will be available soon.

But more importantly, we have built a surrounding conference with compelling content designed specifically for you, our member facilities. We will have an amazing SHOWCASE which will be set up throughout the conference to allow our staff from all areas to share more information about details important to the facility. We also have lined up 2 keynote speakers to deliver some relevant, timely, compelling content.

We believe this conference will be a must attend event, and hope that your club will send at least 2 members to attend. To summarize why this will be beneficial to your club, we have developed the top FORE reasons why you should be attending this event.

  • THE SHOWCASE – our staff will be creating an engaging activation that will be an opportunity for you to learn more about all of the different ways we will be delivering value for your facility
  • AMAZING SPEAKERS – we have lined up 2 very impactful speakers. Ashleigh McLaughlin will be delivering a key note on #inviteher, a fantastic initiative designed to attract more women to golf. Ken Tackett, a PGA Tour Rules Official, will be discussing Living Under NET Par. Finally, both Mike Kelly from Golf Ontario, and Laurence Applebaum from Golf Canada will be addressing the conference
  • FEEDBACK – this event will provide a great forum for you to share feedback with Golf Ontario on our new initiatives, as well as on what we can be doing better/differently to add value for you.
  • ARE YOU RULES READY? – with the introduction of the new Rules of Golf in 2019, we will be having a Rules Ready panel discussion to help everyone in the room better understand the new direction.

The facility truly is at the centre of our Strategic Plan, and your attendance at this event is an important step in building further on an already exciting partnership. Thanks in advance for your support and attendance , and please do not hesitate to reach out to learn more.
