Water Polo Canada – (Montreal, Quebec – July 6, 2018) – Water Polo Canada is pleased to announce the rosters for the upcoming 19U Pan American Championships to be held July 10 to 15, 2018 in Clearwater, Florida (USA). This tournament serves as qualification for the 2019 FINA Junior World Championships.

The teams competing in the men’s division will be divided into two groups. Canada will compete in Group B alongside Peru, Colombia, and Barbados. Group A is composed of the 2016 silver medalists the United States, Brazil, Argentina and Puerto Rico. The Canadian Men will start their tournament July 10^th against Barbados at 4:40 pm (Local time). The finals will be played July 15^th at 6:00 pm (Men’s Gold Medal Game).

The women’s division will showcase a total of six teams that will compete in the same group. In the round-robin, Canada will start its tournament by facing Venezuela on July 10^th at 9:00 am. The Canadian women will also face Puerto Rico, Argentina, the United States, and Brazil in the preliminary round. Canada, who finished at the top in 2016, will be looking to repeat their championship run from two years ago. The women’s gold medal game (1^st vs 2^nd) is scheduled for July 15^th at 11:40 am (Local).
