Water Polo Canada – (Montreal, May 22, 2018)– Water Polo Canada (WPC) is pleased to announce the roster for the upcoming FINA World League Super Final. The World League Super Final tournament is being held in Kunshan, China from May 28 to June 2, 2018. The Canadian women had an impressive run at this tournament last year where they made it to the gold medal game. Despite falling to the United States in the final, this second-place finish represents the best result since 2009 for this Canadian team, and they will be looking to continue on these performances at this year’s event.

The Women’s National Team earned their qualification for the World League Super Final by finishing 3rd at the Intercontinental Tournament in Auckland, New Zealand last month. The Canadian team qualified after finishing at the top of their group after the preliminary round. They went on to win the bronze medal after defeating China 9-8.  

The Canadian women will play their first game of the tournament against Russia at 3:00 pm local (3:00 am ET) on Monday, May 28, 2018. Canada will compete in Group B alongside USA, Russia, and Japan. Matches will be played daily, with the finals scheduled on June 2, 2018.
