Volleyball Canada – Volleyball Canada is pleased to announce the men’s team Senior B and Junior coaching staff for the 2018 season.

“We are thrilled with the quality of our coaching staff this year,” said Volleyball Canada’s Indoor High Performance Director, Julien Boucher. “There is a very good balance between national team veteran staff and new influences that will help guide our athletes throughout the season.”

Heading the Senior B team for a second summer in a row will be Larry McKay of Winnipeg, MB. His assistants will be Brad Hudson (Kelowna, BC) and Glenn Hoag (Gatineau, QC). Hoag is the former senior men’s team and Olympic coach who stepped back from the head coaching role after the 2016 Games.

This team will be preparing for the Pan Am Cup (August 12-20) in Veracruz, Mexico, which is a qualifier for 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru.

The Junior team will be led by João Paulo Bravo (Presidente Prudente, SP, Brazil), currently playing and coaching with the Arkas Izmir Club in Turkey. Returning for another cycle as assistant coach is Adam Simac (Ottawa, ON). Shayne White (Waterloo, ON) completes the Junior team coaching staff.

The Junior team will focus on the U21 Norceca Championships (July 8-16) in Managua, Nicaragua – a qualifier for 2019 U21 World Championships.
