Understand what NSOs look for in a host community
CSTA – Understand what NSOs look for in a host community
CSTA has designed two one-hour webinars specifically for destination marketing organizations (DMOs) and sport tourism suppliers to connect directly with event rights holders. Hear first-hand what four different National Sport Organizations (NSOs) look for in a host community for their sport event.
June 7 – How a DMO Can Land an NSO’s Event – Speed Skating Canada and Canoe Kayak Canada
June 14 – How a DMO Can Land an NSO’s Event – Canadian Soccer Association and Canadian Blind Hockey Association (formerly Courage Canada)
Representatives from each organization will provide details on events currently open for bid, the process to bid, and criteria used to select a host. Webinar participants will have a chance to ask specific questions of each sport organization and be provided with handouts with each organization’s respective event information.
Tuesday, June 7th at 1:30 pm EST features Janice Dawson, Director of Sport Development, Speed Skating Canada; Ian Miller, Communications and Marketing Officer and Ian Mortimer, Domestic Development Manager and Partnership Relations, Canoe Kayak Canada
Tuesday, June 14th at 1:30 pm EST features Jessie Daly, Senior Manager, Events, Canadian Soccer Association and Matt Morrow, Executive Director, Canadian Blind Hockey Association.
